FZS WOT, power un predictable - help

2 weeks ago, I put my ski in the water after a very long time, seems as thought i have lost potential power in all rpms. However my main concern was at WOT, felt as the ski was slugging and doesn't have power, holding in the throttle for about 5 seconds and the boost came in all of a sudden and reached max speed up to 110 kph

I had to travel after that so didn't get time to work on the ski, went back to it earlier today and the ski wouldn't start. Removed the fuel line to see if it was spitting out fuel, and guess what? no fuel spitting out. So i am guessing its the fuel pump. I have a fuel pump that i shall replace tomorrow.

What could possibly be wrong to be giving me the issue at WOT, felt as thought i was riding a 700cc wave runner and then all of a sudden the power would kick in. Could it be a faulty fuel pump?

Start with your fuel pump. Befor replacing to make sure there's power to it when cranking

Did you swap spark plugs? Sounds like also old gas. Start there before saying it's your fuel pump. It initializes for a few seconds when starting, so how long after that are you checking the flow?

The plugs had just been replaced two weeks before, and the fuel was changed with new fuel. I removed the fuel line and started tried to see if fuel would spit out, but nothing. Did this couple times.

I have replaced the fuel pump, as i took it apart and cleaning there was dirt coming out of the fuel pressure regulator which is also changed and the entire housing was filled with dirt, along with the filter screen. Need to put the pump back in the back once i get time in the next couple days.

Ok so i put back the fuel pump back into the tank. Once i started the ski and left it to run for couple minutes. I pulled the each connector to the coils one at a time, coil number 1 and 4 didn't make a difference to the engine idle. However when the connectors to coil number 3 and 4 were disconnected, there was a rough idle. Hence i came to know cylinder 1 and 4 were not firing. Removed the plugs after that and saw plug number 1 had way too much carbon (running rich) and plug number 2 was firing ok.

What should i be looking into now, and what shall i do? i checked all the injectors and cleaned them but it did exactly the same thing.

Just an update - after checking through all the fuel lines, injectors, coils, plugs, ecu, wiring, etc.... went back to check my engine timing since i had overhauled the engine. The timing was off by a tooth which caused the issue. got the timing done right this time around.

I shall be putting the ski in the water to test either today or tomorrow. Shall give further updates then.
