1100 stx water leaks into hull

'99 1100 stx water leaks into hull.

I removed the electrical box and there is a hose/pipe going thru the hull (drive shaft inside). I've had the ski for 3 years and never knew it looked this way (pic attached)

I assume it needs a re-slathering of 4200 or other sealant. Just wanted to know if anyone has best practices on doing so.

also I am considering an electrical bildge pump for insurance (after the repair), any recommendations?Click image for larger version.

That looks like 5200 on top of the old gray sealant. This is a common area even looks like who did that repair hacked the box that the electrical box sits on.

Remove it clean it all the way down to metal, clean all the old 5200. Reglue with 5200 and lay a few layers fiber glass on top.

An electric bilge is always a good idea, saved my ass a few times
