GPS and Sonar
I feel like an old geezer now but I like it. The screen is 4" and is very easy to see. I found a spot that allows the transducer to shoot through the hull but I haven't glued it in place so I don't know how well it will do at speed yet.
Not the best top speed but ski has 5 hours and I couldn't find any clean water that didn't have too much debris floating in it from the recent rains. I was really impressed that it will do 62-63 in 1-2 foot chop.

Is that lake travis there on the screen?

My race numbers will be going there. I can swap from GPS/Sonar to race numbers in about 2 minutes.
That is Pace Bend Park at Lake Travis.

I'm interested in how the sonar works. The ultra makes for a great fishing platform. Whre did you put the transducer and how is it working?

I thought the through hull was going to work. Well it sorta does, up to 30 mph. I'm afraid the hull is too thick. I may try moving the transducer around to see if I can get better results but right now I am trying to figure out the best way to get a wire through the hull for an external mount.
My other grandpa mod worked well though. I made a safe storage area for an anchor. It holds the anchor and rope securely, even in the rough. It was nice to have when I went to Starnes Island today.
