    GTR carbon ring wear?

    Hey Fellas, I always do a thorough inspection after I ride. And I noticed a line dust line under the carbon ring. I have zero water coming in and zero cavitation. I own a 2013 Gtr with 31 hours. I've been searching for a few days now and can only find a few posts with pictures of massive amounts of dust. Am I finding the beginning signs of premature carbon? Possible enginemmisalignment?     Yep, I would bring back to the dealer to have it align back under warranty...
    My 2012 PX has 80+ and I do not have that much dust and NOT with a straight line.

    I do have some very light black residue in the hull but no line like yours!

    52 hours on my GTR and it looks nothing like that,my line is barely visible.

    With the amount of dust, does the carbon seal need replacing? The dealer is two weeks behind... they only have one seadoo tech.

    I have never ran it on the trailer. I know about cooking a carbon ring for too long, hince why i dont do it at all. I do my checks before i head to the ramp, maybe do a bump crank for a battery check. My ski never sits long, i ride year around. Dang both dealers say they are two to 3 weeks behind. Wish i saw this during the winter lol.

    I'd keep an eye on it and ride tell winter if it doesn't get worse.

    IMO, all carbon seals give the back line. To me, that doesn't look terrible. Clean the line off and ride. See what happens.

    Do a search as this topic has been discussed a lot! If it was my ski, I would just purchase the alignment kit and figure out if the engine and or thru hull fitting is out of alignment with the pump and or drive shaft.

    I know it is under warranty, but do you want to deal with dealer, waiting and waiting or do it yourself correctly and know 100% it is correct?
