    Exclamation 00 XLT1200Ltd Cavitation Problem

I have 2000 XLT1200. When I originally bought the ski the impeller was frozen in housing. I replaced the housing and took it out on the water where I first experienced the cavitation. It was so bad that the ski wouldn't do anything more than idle. I then changed the impeller to a Solas 13/19, added a R&D intake grate, and R&D pump shoe seal kit. This helped reduce the cavitation but it did not completely fix it. It would take a while until the cavitation would go away and the fastest the skit would get is 50 mph. Also not sure if this has anything to do with it but the ski felt very tipsy and un even like it did not want to stay straight up. It felt like it had a lean and made it very hard to control. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this cavitation problem for good? Also maybe make the ski more stable? Any help would be great!

Is that part of the pump seal kit I put on there or is that something that should have been there from factory?

#2 is the felt packing, goes on the back of #1

when we install the plug kit it is a good idea to put 5200 fast cure (or equivalent) sealant on the rear of the shoe to seal it to the transom
