What is the optimal trailer bunk spacing for the Kawasaki Ultra 300 hull?

I am picking up a loaner Ultra 300 (2012, I believe) tomorrow and want to minimize the amount of fussing around when I get there. I would prefer to get this right so it nicely fits the first time the hull is lowered onto the bunks.

I do not have access to a similar hull nearby so I cannot measure an actual hull until I get there late in the day tomorrow, which is a 2 hour drive away. Once I get it loaded it will be traveling multiple hours on the road.

My Triton Elite double trailer is currently set up for a completely different hull (not Kawasaki) so I am sure the bunk spacing and winch tower will need to be changed to fit properly to the Ultra hull.

For those who have the same Kawasaki lower hull, what is the spacing distance you have between the bunks?

Are the bunks exactly parallel front to rear, so the same bunk spacing both front and back?

I expect I want the bunks to fit up between the hull chine ridges and be as widely spaced as practical for hull stability when on the bunks.

I also need to know how much vertical drop there is between the hull vee and the bunk top inside edges. The Triton bunk supports are adjustable for both bunk height above the frame and width.

    Thanks in advance.

    Not yet

This particular Kawasaki is a sponsored watercraft for the charity ride this weekend. M447 will be the rider.

Hence my need to get my trailer configured for the Ultra 300 hull. I need to be on the road with the trailer by mid-afternoon Thursday.

Hopefully someone will have the info handy.

I am at work so I don't have the exact measurement on my trailer, but I do know I had to bring the front part of the bunks closer together to get the Deep V Hull away from the middle support of the trailer. This is on a double trailer, so the supports aren't notched(bent) like the single trailers are.

If you get a chance to get the measurements it would be much appreciated.

My Triton bunks are six feet long, going from memory. Also a double trailer.

What is the optimal trailer bunk spacing for the Kawasaki Ultra 300 hull?

    Thanks for the info.

I was able to measure the 2013 Ultra 300X hull just before it was loaded onto my Triton Elite double trailer. Set my bunks at 19.5 inches clear space between the inside edges of the bunks. Bunks are parallel front to back, no taper.

The bunks have only a modest slope to match the hull angle.

Seems to ride nicely, vee bottom has a couple of inches airspace above the frame cross members.

My Triton trailer is a 2008 model year. It turns out the winch tower, which is adjustable for height of the bow roller, is simply too short for the tall Kawasaki hull. Normally I would want the bow roller tucked way up just below the rub rail at the nose, with the winch strap coming up to the bow eye from below.

Not happening with this trailer. Maxed out the height adjustment the bow roller is still below the bow eye, never mind reaching the rub rail!

Looks like you sb just fine.

Have fun on that BA Kawasaki. I am certain after you get some time "blasting" on that thing - that you will see why the Majority of us here are "Happy" Kawasaki Consumers
