    Riva Waterbox S3 & T3 (RXP-X) - Is this a build mistake?

    (RS16091 - fresh inventory)

I was 95% done installing the new Riva waterbox ('12-'14 RXPX) and noticed the water pisser in pointing in a different direction. The pictures on their website and instruction manual show it just like the OEM box. This is either an undocumented update design or screw up.

Then I remember reading the exact thing someone found on their TDR waterbox. The guy later confirmed TDR did screw up (post #20 in above link).

Those with Riva boxes, how is yours?

For what you paid for that Riva box..... make them take it back, and send you the proper configuration. That pisser keeps the front of the mid pipe-box inlet cool, so the coupler doesn't melt. It needs to aim in the right direction. This kind of screw up I would expect to see out of TDR (as we have seen)... but not from Riva

Please update thread when you resolve, as I'm interested in buying one of these, but the pisser must be correct way around for me.

I ran a welding rode into the pisser hole and it points exactly at the exit tip of the mid-pipe. So this would mean direct water flow would not touch it.

    Anyways, I'll update soon enough.

    Guy's ,
We have recognized a error in the latest manufacturing run of these water box's. We are addressing the problem immediately and will replace any that slipped out incorrectly and cover all shipping cost's. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused .

I overlook issues like this. It's how Riva steps up and addresses the issue is a big reason why I bought the Riva part!

You can buy parts, but good service is built.

    Thanks Bubba!
