Thread: Shredmaster Plate

I just bought a shredmaster rideplate. I have never ran one of these, but I hear they are good in the chop. Anybody ran one of these on their GP? I want a plate that is good in chop, because Lake Sam Rayburn is where I ride the most and it is always choppy. After Mudbug I will be taking my glass water set-up off. I will experiment with shimming the front of the Shredmaster down, just to see how fast this plate will allow the GP to go, but will most likely end up not running any shims.

Kansasgpr ran one on his beautiful '97 that he's been parting out....he used it for CC racing. I think you'll find it wants to keep the nose plated and not allow it to lift and the way it's shaped I beleive it will carve really good corners (not let the rear "wash out"). I think for rough water it's the cat's meow.....but it'll cost you some top end. Just my take based on the research I've done.

I am definetly not looking for speed with this plate, I understand it will be slower than my modified R&D. I just want a plate that I can put on when it gets rough. For the price I could not pass it up.

Sounds like you've found the right plate at the right price......nice score.
