    Exhaust system

    Hey guys,

Need your input on this one... I just took my ski from my dealer, they installed my new impeller... I put the ski back in water but it looks like the exhaust system and/or Waterbox is not taking water... Saw a lot of smoke and smell like rubber burning... I stop the engine for a couple minutes... Start it back and got a temp warning light...

What can it be... What do I need to look for? Disconnect hose? Something in the pump? From where is it taking the water from? Is it taking water from the same place where we hook the hose when outside of water? Something stuck somewhere?

    Thanks guys!

No. Water actually exits that pipe when running on the water.

Ok thanks... I'll get it out of the water, remove the supercharger air intake... And inspect hose and stuff... If someone have an idea... It never append to me since I own this ski! Have no clue at all... Can there be air in the system or something?

There's a hose that connects to the top/left of the jet pump assembly that you can see from the rear of the ski. Is it connected? They were in that area if they replaced your impeller and could have left it disconnected or loose and it popped off.

Oh, I should have added "I think" to my post above. I'm still learning. However, I see no other way to get water into the hull other than that hose. It sticks up at about the 11 o'clock position on the top of the pump housing and goes from there to the 12 o'clock position into the hull.

So, it's outside the ski? Or inside the hull?
