How fast should a stock 2007 rxt go?

Just wondering. Ski has 40 hrs on it and it pulls hard but speedo only gets up to 58mph. Are the speedos accurate ?

The speedometers are not accurate. You need to GPS the top speed and see where you're at. Use an iPhone app if you need to. Also tell us what RPMs you're at.

the speedo on my old '07 RXT 215 went to around 68 more or less....
if you're only seeing 58 check it with GPS and you also might want to check the supercharger..

the limiter is supposed to be 8300 on the 07'
I see 8180 in the heat of summer, with a 4" intake, grate ,prop, & wedge @ 66-67mph on GPS. Try to see what your max RPM are next time out.

Ok. I will check with gps. I know it was revving over 8k and felt like I was haulin ass. Might just be the speedo. What's a good intake grate for this machine? I'm just getting back in the game after a 10 year break from skis. My last one was a totally built 96 Xp. Old school. Lol

No the speedo's aren't accurate, but you should be seeing faster than 58.
I have the same ski, and when I was stock last year I was seeing ~65mph @ 7800rpm WITH overfilled oil and worn wear-ring, both costing me rpm's.

And since your R's are higher, speed should be as well. Something's wrong. First thing I'd do is check slip on the SC.
