    Which carbs on a 1200 suv 2001

    I am rebuilding my carbs and my manual says I have bn44 carbs.when I take it apart,the pump side,it has gaskets like a sbn38 according to a mikuni web site showing illustrations. there is no numbers. how can I be sure that I have the right carbs??

    I took out the throttle plate and it measures 44mm.it still has gasket and diaphragm setup like a 38???????where can I get reliable info.

    I have assembled the pumps exactly as the book shows them.i hook one of them to the pulse line on the engine and put a pressure gauge on the fuel inlet nipple.crank the engine and there is no suction at all.
