09 rxpx rpm loss grinding noiser
So i was stopped by police today and got a safety check. Take off and go about 50 yards when all of sudden (no indication) ski falls on its face making a terrible screeching/ grinding sound. I quickly pull the key to shut it down. Towed it home. Tried turning over with throttle pulled in. And sounds like the grinding is coming from the pump. Pull the pump thinking its the pump bearing but it seems like it is tight and turns smoothly by hand. I am at lost and would love if someone could give some suggestions what to check next.
Not throwing any codes and there was never any alarm.
Appreciate the help!

Supercharger might have seized up?....Rod or main bearing gone or maybe flywheel bolts let go.

any easy way to tell if its the main bearing? Also I tried spinning the SC and it didn't move (someone told me to check that).

It just happened to my buddies rxp at around 60 hrs.
Pull the s/c exit hose.
Bet you find grey metal dust.

That's why you should rebuild your s/c every 2 years or 100 hrs. Which ever comes 1st.

I had the same thing on my 08 rxtx and it was the drive shaft losing connection to the impeller. Check the end of the shaft

So I first pulled the exit pipe of the SC it did have an oily residue to it as seen in the picture. But before I pulled the SC I pulled the pump back of and while supporting the DS tapped the start button to slowly turn over the engine to listen prob not the brightest idea but, to my surprise no grinding noise. So I put the pump back on and tapped start button again, horrific grinding sound. I got a small rubber mallet and used the handle to try to turn the prop while installed, It spins. I am 99% sure that I should not be able to spin the prob while connected. So this leads me down the road wondering if it is the DS? Still getting the SC rebuilt like advised, I never realized it was every two years.
