Yamaha VXR Missing Glove Compartment Latch Holder?

Hello so i was riding a couple days ago and noticed my glove compartment opened on its own. It continued to open on its own when i was riding aggressively. I looked at where the holder would be and it was just a small square hole going into the engine compartment. So the part must of fallen off. Im wondering where i would get a replacement.

Here is a picture to better show what i am talking about. The blue arrow is pointing to the part i believe im missing.

    Thanks for any help!

My 2011 VX did the same. The latch on the door broke. Luckily I found the piece and was able to glue it back on, along adding a thin piece of carbon fiber I had on hand. I think the latch is like $20 are you effn kidding me?

Ok thanks. I wish I had some luck finding it but didn't. Where would I order a replacement?

Mine done the same while crossing a wake. I had two bottles of water in the glove box didn't help. Luckily I didn't loose my wallet and phone. I carry bare minimum it them now. I did add a zippered storage pouch to the front bulkhead to both our skis for valuables. I just used the same plastic rivets to mount. I also leave the top plastic rivets out to allow me to monitor the fuel level when refueling, just pull it forward enough to peek in. Beats removing the seat as per manual. I would have bought a black pouch but Wally World was out of them.

I have never had that part break, but I have had the latch on the glove box lid break several times, I think its due to having a depth finder mounted to the glove box lid, I keep a spare latch in the ski and an extra one in my trailer box, its come in handy a few times for me and others on rides...
