My CRAIGSLIST DEAL - Pair of 2009 FX HO with 11.5 hours each on them.
Hey guys, I'm fairly new to this forum, but not new to riding. I had a pair of 06 VX110 Deluxe 2012-2013. I found that pair on Craigslist in Roanoke, VA with 37 and 40 hours on them. Bought them with double trailer for $7,800. I ran them for a year only doing plugs, air filters, oil and oil filters right when I bought them. I put 45 hours on each of them in one year. I sold them last August for $8,500.
So this year I was without vessels. My 2 boys who turned 9 & 7 were not happy with me . WE have a vacation to Smith Mountain Lake coming up this Saturday. I really missed being on the water with them.
We needed new skis and needed them bad. So Dad delivered!
I found on craigslist once again a BEAUTIFUL pair of stock 2009 Yami FX HO with only 11.5 hours each on them. Husband and wife bought them new in 09. Wife was in car accident in 2011 and was unable to ride anymore due to back and neck pain. They have not been ridden since 2012. Always covered and stored in pole building. They were ran on a hose to keep them used.
THEY ARE PRISTINE!!!!!!!!!
I bought them and the double triton trailer for $13,500. I think I got the deal of the century. The gentleman was asking $16,000. But they lived inland in North Carolina. Not really near easily accessible water without driving. at least an hour. Whatever the reasons, I got LUCKY. I tell you this, because the deals on nice skis are OUT there. I had to drive 4.5 hours from Baltimore to Rocky Mount to do the deal, but who cares.
They sputtered on the test ride due to stale gas and old plugs.
SO I got them home, siphoned out the gas, put in fresh gas with SEAFOAM, changed plugs, changed oil filter and oil.
They absolutely PURR! I am blown away by the difference between the VX110 (All I really knew) and these FX HO's. Its unreal!
Fluid Film is on order. They will be well taken care of for many more years. I attached some pics. I Removed some stickers and customized them a bit for my boys. That is their initials on the back of the skis in the MD Flag print. I thought the reg numbers came out great. Signs by Tomorrow did everything for me.
Used this site to help me decide what to buy. Im a yamaha guy. The ease of maintenance and reliability is 2nd to NONE. Really digging the 1.8 NA engine. Its a beast!
Enjoy the pics and thanks for the help, guys. Not sure I will do any mods this riding season, but maybe over the winter I will start researching easy things to do like the ribbon delete (NO REAL CLUE what that is). You all can educate me.

Nice skis, good deal. I made $2,600 off my last 2010 GTX iS 215. The deals are out there, but unfortunately only in the winter where I am. I have been without a ski all season and it has not been easy. I'd like to buy two or three once fall/winter hits.
