300x lost a few MPH today. Is this a problem? lol

300x was running great, then boom lots of smoke and what an oily mess! Looks like #4 connecting rod decided it was done riding early today, lol.

That sucks. Hate to see it. Be sure to replace with a 310 block.

Ride from DP to Oceanside. On the way back near San Onofre I was around 7500RPM and I heard a change in the engine tone, concerned I was letting off the throttle and boom, engine stopped and smoke came out of every possible opening on the ski. This motor has been amazing for the past year (55hrs) so I'm really sad to see it go.

Had that motor been apart before or factory assembled? Sorry, rephrasing my original question.
