    2008 Kawasaki Ultra 250X F1 Code

I have a 2008 Kawasaki Ultra 250X Supercharged Ski. When turning o n the Ski A large F1 code is display and a small F1 box. The alrm sounds and the machine runs in Limp Mode. I haven't used the machine in a two years and I was using it the first time of season. The machine had no gas in It since hurricane Sandy. The closest dealer is not taking any machines in for service and is unwilling to offer any diagnostic assistance. I sprayed the engine area with Amsoil Metal Protector prior to launch. I had this code after washing the machine with water, it went away and now its back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated by both the macine and rider. thanks

problem solved. It was a loose wire at the connector. Anybody know how to keep the rubber stopper in the connector.? It's a short wire and the rubber stopper wants to back out.

The lead is short and the little rubber stopped doesn't stay inside. I don't know how Kawasaki gets them to stay. I can easily replace the connector with some marine heat shrink connectors for 22 gauge wire or better yet use Marine sealant 5200 a permanent marine adhesive and caulk. I use it on everything. I reattached a mirror with it. I reattached a bunch of back up sensors to a bumper. The stuff is great and waterproof. thanks for the response nicjac.
