    150 hours?

Hi, could you please tell me what you think of 150 hours on a 2007? Is it allot? Is there anything I should really watch out for in a used purchase aside from obvious stuff? Thanks in advance for any of your time.

    Thanks,
    Kurt Boyer

No, that's really not a lot. In one year of use, we will have put 50 hours on ours- and we only have 3 months of riding before it gets put away for the year.

With any used machine, I worry about basic maintenance being done. Oil and filter changes, spark plugs, winterization, pump services, etc. It's all in the manual, and I keep my receipts. With a machine with low hours, I'd also worry about bad fuel, since it may have been sitting for a long time. No receipts and maintenance history = wiggle room to negotiate for a lower price.

Definitely not a lot on an Ultra LX. I've almost got 500 hrs. on my stx-15f (same engine as the LX) and it's still running great. I agree with making sure the previous owner took care of it. Even though the hrs. are low, it's still 7 years old and if it hasn't been maintained, it could definitely have problems. Good luck! If possible, water test it. Make sure it gets to maximum speed (50-55 mph.). Also, if it was me, I'd have the current owner remove the spark plugs before purchasing it to make sure none of them are stuck.
