    Loss of power

    Hello guys..
I have a 2013 gtx is260 and i did the oil change myself at 25 hrs. I have not cleared the maintenance light. Now at 37 hrs i am loosing performance on it. It still gets to top speed but in sport mode does not have that kick feeling like before. I was wondering if not clearing the light have something to do with it. I am about to buy a can doo so i can clear it. Do you guys think ii is worth the $400.00. Ski is still under warranty and i have the extended warranty but i hate to take it to dealers as most of them dont take good care of it when its in there. Thanks in advance

What is your peak RPM? You might check signs for a possible intercooler leak.

You can pull the intercooler, put a garden hose on the water inlet, plug the rest of the water ports, and look inside the air tank to see if there is any water leaking. My preferred on-the-water method is to undo the clamp where the intercooler hose connects to the throttle body, aim that hose up in the air, then go ride full throttle with the seat off to see if water sprays out consistently. I'm not sure how straight forward that is on the suspension ski so good luck.

Loss of performance AFTER you changed the oil? 12 hours of riding ago?

What is your oil level right now? What water conditions do you ride?

Oil level is right. Right after changing oil it was fine. Second time out i noticed that the sport mode is mot as aggressive as before. It will still get to top speed but it does not get to top speed as fast as before. Thats why i though that computer was prevent it from full power as it is thinking that oil had mot been changed. I now of certain cars that will do this to prevent any engine damage. I did not replaced the spark plugs. The came with the oil change kit but i though it was not necessary at 25 hrs.

I usually run in the intracostal in clearwater area as thats where i keep my boat. This weekend it was not even choppy and it still felt like that. It almost feels like turbolag on a car where u get a flat spot until it boost.

The warning light will not effect performance.

Check your top RPM's first and foremost.
