Looking for Fast lightweight Waverunner.. suggestions

I am looking for a fast lightweight waverunner that is easy to work on and there are modifications available.

I was thinking of a 1996 waveraider 1100. Is this model any good? Is this a pre power valve engine? Are the cylinders nikasil coated?

    Thanks

FAST is relative. What kind of water do you ride in and just how fast do you want to go?
Some folks think 50 is fast some think if its not pushing 90 or better is stuck in traffic.

True I should of specified. I would like high 50's at least or faster but no turbo or supercharge.. want it simple to fix. etc

For that price you're looking at a gp/gpr 800 from 1997 on up. You may be able to find a gp/gpr 1200 from 97 on up but may need work.

Well you have limited yourself somewhat. A good 96, 97 Kawi zxi, with some tune/mods get to fifty easy enough. A good GP1200 around 99/2000 will cost @ least $2K I am sure. Good Luck P.S. can find XP's 96 - 98 maybe, again top speed with some tuning top 49/50
