upgrade rxp prop
ok first post on GH. here it goes.....
I own an 05 rxp with x charger and 42# injectors. everything else is stock. I was out riding yesterday when i ran up on a huge mud bank. sucked in a shit load of mud. the ski now feels like im burning out. my rpms rev but i dont seem to move.
Since then ive cleaned out the prop and nozzle. noticed the prop and wear ring were worn. also found a nail that must have gotten sucked up through the prop because it was bent in half and wedged inside one of the vanes on the nozzle.i think it pretty obvious ive screwed up my prop and wear ring plus the additional power just makes that prop spin its little ass off. only other upgrade ill be doing this month is 4" intake.
i was curious if the x-t and x-p oem props will fit my ski. i read a few charts online and it appears the rxp prop is something like 155mm? and the x prop is 159mm? is this right or can i use that prop?
05 rxp and a 10 rxtx prop? im just trying to get by with a slightly better less expensive prop until i do the ic, exhaust, and other mods.
If this prop will fit is there any difference in the wear ring that ill be replacing?

Welcome to the GH
the 10 prop will fit but may have the wrong pitch
because the X boats have different nozzle size
IMO use a 15/20 with a new wear ring
it will put you near 8000rpm
and if you want more rpm you will need to tweek it

will 15/20 handle the future mods (ic, exhaust, 4" intake, rrfpr) i plan on doing or will i have to step up to the 15/22r then?

no the 15/20 is right for your rxp
it should put you close to 8000
the 22 is for a X ski
