I sometimes use a backwards fitted baseball cap.. Just make sure it's not one you use all the time.. It will get wet and start to smell..

Do know that once the bill becomes wet, it will become very floppy and heavy.. Also if your in salt water, it will stain the hat.. I mostly make sure I bring plenty of spray on sunshade and forget about the hat

not worried about it getting wet. i only ride fresh water. if i can find it ive got an old dingy hat that may work. its possible it was tossed.

thought about the spray can sun screen i bet that would work.

I have a Buff headband that I wear sometimes. Its nice and light and packs up small. It dries fast and provides good sun protection, even on your neck (depending on how you wear it).

Here's what I do...I have an anti UV bandana on first...then a regular bandana over that...always keep both wet. I have a floppy boonie hat I keep in the glove box for if I break down and have to tow or need to tow somebody slowly back. That happened to me once. I only had on a regular bandana...my brother and I were way up river...he broke down and I had to slowly tow him back...took forever and even through the one bandana my head got burnt as [email protected]!k.

That is when I went online and got a UV bandana and now always carry my boonie hat. Boonie hats don't care if they get wet...and actually feel good when they are wet and can easily be stuffed into the glove box without having to deal with the stiff brim of a regular baseball hat...easy to wash too to get all that sweaty sunscreen scuz out.

Under Armour makes a "Stretch Fit" fitted hat that is made for sports so it drys quickly. It stays on backwards, and even though I get it wet frequently seems to be holding up well and doesn't smell like other thicker fitted hats

I think this is the type
