When you say damaged during transit.. What kind of transit? Did you purchase it new from the dealer? Or out of state and had it shipped to you ? Or did you personally damage it?

If the dealer or anyone else transported it, it should be covered under their company insurance...

I wouldn't be as worried about the plastic pieces as that hole in the hull.. That's a pretty big hole/crack..

If it was prepurchase damage(IE dealer or delivery company before your hands) I would refuse it and make them get you a new one.

If you backed into something after hooking up to it, then I guess fix it best you can. I wouldnt anticipate anyone being able to make that big of a fracture as strong as factory after a repair. Good, maybe, but strong enough for the climb assist I doubt.

Most likely, the fix will be extensive. They will have to cut out the whole right side transom. Yes, do not re-install boarding ladder, that will help eliminate future stress on the repaired section. If this is covered by insurance then seek out the best boat/body guys you can ... it is not like regular gelcote. Good Luck

REJECT. If it is new or demand repair and MAJOR discount.
