I looked at the racing fuel cans they come in 5 gallon and you can order a hose for the top and a carrying rig for the trailer that locks the cans together.amazon vp racing fuel cans

Do you want to carry extra fuel on the trailer or extra fuel with you on the watercraft?

Sorry I should have been more clear carry on the watercraft while in use.

What issues are you concerned about?

There are a bunch of threads showing different approaches to carrying extra fuel, all the way from custom racks and in-flight fuel transfer to rectangular marine outboard engine fuel tanks strapped to the rear deck.

check out koolpwcstuff....i just recently bought a stainless steel cooler rack with rod holders and brackets that allow you to attatch 2 rotopax gas cans...i went with the 3 gallon rotopax and they mount solidly and are easy to take on and off for re fueling....very solid setup...on my 13 vxs i filled ski and both 3 gallon rotopax and so far have went 112 miles and fuel buzzer has still not went off...im gonna run it til it completely runs out of gas so i can get a feel of how many miles i can go...im thinking probably 150ish??? my speeds have been 45ish with quiet a few 70 plus runs....and ive still got gas....the cooler rack,cooler,10 pond bag of ice, drinks and the 2 rotopax tanks full of gas weighed in at about 100 pounds....i couldnt even tell it was back there...no loss in speed or handling....but...VERY PRICEY...BUT NICE....good luck, hope this helps
