    2010 RXTX pump removal

    Hey all,

Having a few problems tying to remove the bolts that hold my pump to the ride plate. Someone has put some good locktite on there. Is there any tricks that would help me with this?? I heard heating the bolt helps but im a bit cautious about doing this when they are into the alloy ride plate.

    Cheers.

    Pete

Yes use heat, any of above. And clean the threads after thoroughly !!! Modify a bolt like this.

I modified this 'old' bolt with a grinder.

Just to clean the threads from the loctite.

Haha it came not out like that !!

You can use a tapping tool as well but they are tapered at the tip so more change damaging the soft aluminium when you start....
