Cool best ride plate for rough ?

    hi...
so... my motor is ok (just rebuild with carrillo rods Cp pistons valve train kit from R&D)
my AFR is ok. I've just put in the trash my old athena for going with R&D R3 program.
    just finished break in period.
now... I have a Riva plate installed and a jim's VX modified is coming.
    but my question is...
what is the best plate design for riding in rough water?
we ride ever in salt water and it is everytime little chop.
    I mean ... 10 - 20 - 30 - 40 cm waves....
when higher we like to jump but not looking for speed.
so for 10-40 cm waves... which is the best plate?
I have also r&d intake grate.
and all the mods in my signature.

There are alot of good rough water plates out there. But the one i like is the stock sv fzr plate modded, Because you have good rough water riding and the speed is great.

The uncut stock ride plate has more lift/stability for rough water, the cut plate is for the top speed reading show off, it would loose up the ski a bit that makes the ski go faster but less stability.

Hello Ken, which plate are you referring to because the stock sv plate handles way better being modded then stock form. It has been tested back to back over and over.

Jim, for the top speed, I'd like the cut plate better but the ski will give up a bit stability especially on the rough.

Which ski/stock plate are you taking about? If you are talking about the 14 FZ plate then you probably haven't actually used Jim's modded 14 plate as it hooks up great and is completely stable, we aren't talking about the VX cut plate here. If you're talking about the stock pre-14 plate then you are absolutely wrong as that plate just plain sucks period.
