Lightbulb GP1200r Bogging would like input from Experienced People with this issue.

Ok pretty sure i have this nailed on the head but id like some input from the pros!

Issue: Ski starts perfect revs to 8k on trailer no issues,
in water ski bogs at full throttle, half choke it starts to get on plane till about 40mph and holds still. if choke is released it starts bogging and losing power, choke added picks back up but never passes 40mph.

get home notice middle carb is leaking, new plugs installed and throw back in water: runs like a raped ape way beyond the 40mph mark {still being choked bogs other wise} 30 min into ride and starts performing like crap again. [assuming plugs are being fouled]

Theory: carbs are shit and need to be rebuilt.

ordered 3X carb rebuild kits [MIKUNI]
new reeds since im already there.
carbs have no air filter so i ordered riva flame arrestor kit.
re-jetting per osidebills carb re-jetting post <following exact recommendations.

ANY INPUT WOULD BE GREAT or if im missing something let me know!

Definitely re-jet per OsideBill's recommendations or you run the risk of being lean with the flame arrestors you are installing. You will have to do some fine tuning of the carbs so I strongly recommend to install t handles so you can adjust the cabs in the ski.

Since you are "there", be sure to pressure test engine to ensure you do not have any air leaks. Typically you would want to do this after installing the reeds and reed plate.

Has the fuel flapper valve been removed from the sender? See here http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=39216

Read http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=9408 Read the whole thread to get various ideas.
You can use a plate for over the exhaust manifold flange and over the reed plate.

ok flapper removed and line extended to the bottom of plastic tube, on the top of the unit there are two wires (im assuming that tells me the level of fuel in the tank?) one was cut off seemed very brittle. should i worry about that? or will it just give me a false fuel readout?
