    '04 RXP 60mph @ 7700rpm max

Just bought this ski from my local dealer. It has 80 hours on the brp long block that they installed. Zero hours on the supercharger they just rebuilt with all updated parts.

The ski runs great and pulls extremely hard, runs smooth and just feels good all around.

Problem... I can't get the speedo to push past 60 and I can't get it past 7700 rpm.

Just wondering if anyone may have a suggestion as to what I should check.

Make sure oil is not over full. That will bog your rpms

I'll check on the oil. They installed a new oem impeller when the did the wear ring recently.

Have you checked the supercharger slip?

Just found a thread on checking the slip. If it comes down to a s/c issue I'll be taking it back to the dealer as I've now put an hour on it since they rebuilt it.

Where should the oil level be? It's just past the second bend in the dip stick.

If that's the case it's way too full then. It's 1/8" past the 2nd bend. That's with it sitting for 3 hours after riding though... In other words checking it cold. I'll check it warm tomorrow.

Should be between bends, that most likely your problem, drain some out and retest ski

If you checked it cold it can only get worse. You'll need to take a little out. Even after you get your RPMs where they should be (8100) it seems like you'll still be missing a couple MPH.
