    Yamaha sho engine

Listing for a friend, if interested pm me and I will put you in touch with him. The motor is hurt, compression is 108,90,108,120. The cylinder walls show scuffing when looking at it with the bore scope thats as far as he went. The motor still starts and runs. Its a good rebuilder he is just thinking of going a different route

This is a complete motor minus supercharger and manifolds. Will come with stator and oil pump still attached. $2500. pm me if interested, Thanks

2500 is usually a price for a good running motor with perfect compression. with what you are describing as rebuildable motor, is about 1000 dollars. Not Lowballing or anything i dont even need it, just tell your friend not to get upset at offers around 1000.

Yea, not arguing because some people see better deals then others but $2500 for a good running legit low hour motor is hard to come by. I have yet to see a good rebuildable motor for $1000 either. I sell good complete heads for $1400 and they sell. I don't think his price is too bad considering the head is fine, and comes with the stator and all, he is willing to make something working but just throwing it out there to help him out some.

That price is shipped also in the usa.

There's a lot of unnecessary comments in this for sale thread, let the man sell what he wants to sell and keep your opinions and links to yourself.

Well said. I've seen pics of it and trying to get some money together to buy it as a spare to build. It's a great looking clean engine foundation at a good price and it's coming from good people.

Yea it's fine, everyone has opinions and yes there are deals out there but you have to know what you are buying.
Bystrov feels the engines are worth 1000-2000 because he bought a $3500 Sho. That Sho had almost 800 hours and a trashed hull. That ski is for a one of a kind buyer. Yes it might have a new motor, sbt or not new harness whatever who knows but again resale will be very difficult and problems are going to be there.

The second motor link on ebay yes not a bad deal at all. But it was at 3k and now dropped some but still almost 3k shipped. Not the lowest hours but ok for an 08 but the compression numbers do not add up. The Sho will never see compression that high, so therefore it was never checked. He is a two stroke ski parter with a generic line more then likely, compression 149 give or take 1 psi. So that makes it hard to purchase and believe the seller. I have heard so many horror stories of motors showing up rusted on here and locally that were purchased online. You have to know the seller and know what your buying before handing over thousands.

Also can the seller send a copy of the title to go with the motor. With all the stolen skis out there you want to ask that question too. I would want paperwork and it's necessary from what people say to have a conversion in Florida.

This motor is not mine but it is not a bad deal. And the price is not set in stone either, there is always some room but not cut the price in half like every other for sale ad. For anyone who has not been in the situation yet when your motor is totally destroyed it's $9800 for a complete engine at the dealer. That's what makes a motor like this have value. Not posting this to argue everything out but just stating some facts for some to know.
