    Bent Drive Shaft???

I'm been in a heated conflict with SBT over an engine they sent me. My dial indicator reading give me a pretty clear picture that the shaft is bent or out of phase.

I've created a website having my measurement videos posted.

Can someone else look at my videos and tell me otherwise. If it isn't really bad, then I'll just install the engine and run with it. See my videos at

You really need to remove the tape to get an accurate reading. If the dial indicator needle still fluctuates then yes the shaft is bent.

he has removed the tape. With the coupler on I dont see how it can be anything else but a bent crankshaft. Just send the motor back. SBT has always been good.
