VT11 fitting info - worth knowing....

Fitted my VT11's today and couldn't get the retaining clips to fit. The seating ridge milled in to the new injectors was too far down the injector shaft and there was no way the OEM clips would work.

I checked with Andy (Whittlebeast) who said he had also come across this issue and ran without any clips at all.

I took his advice and also ran 'clipless' and so far no problems. They are sandwiched between the block and the fuel rail, which is bolted down, so they're not going anywhere.

    Thought I'd share this info.

    Thanks Andy

The clips can easily be modified to work perfectly.

You need to use a file and work them a bit so they can clip on the injectors / fuel rail... Let me link the topic

I filed mine down as noted above. It appears that they cannot go anywhere, but if you put a GoPro Camera mounted inside of your motor...you would be amazed the amount of vibration & violent movement there is with a 1503cc Supercharged Sea-Doo motor. It is not worth the risk for the 15 minutes of filing down you would need to do to ensure maximum security.

You can drill a little more deep the hole in the fuel ril where the injectors are fitted....

Also now i'm not sure 100%...but i think i fix it a long time ago just using clips from old models (RXP 215 or 255)
