    Polaris pro 1200

    Hello,

I am currently looking at purchasing a 2000 polaris pro 1200. I currently have a 2000 slx and was wondering what the major differences are between the two. Is the 1200 pro anyany less reliable?

    Thanks!

The pro is much better handling and better in chop. I much prefer the pro to an slx. The slx is just a giant porpoise sack.

But for a stock ski hands down nothing will jump better than an SLX. Ive got one and my buddies got a 2000 pro 12 and I get to ride them both on a regular basis. As Bryan said the SLX loves to hope and the pro loves to cut and carve but nothing feels better than skying your slx IMO.

Go with the Pro1200! It handles much better and will still spin out if you want(still playful) Plus it is was made from Polaris to fit triple pipes if so desired. Not putting down the SLX1200 I think the 2001 SLX was the best looking PWC in early 2000's. I have rode both and raced them side by side many times(friend has one) they are neck and neck, the only time the SLX1200 edges out A stock Pro1200 is on calm water in top speed, and then it is only 2-3 mph. The Pro will make up for that in its handling ability.
