c kit charger eploded for no aparant reason???

hi guys, just wondered if anyone has any ideas as to why my les cooke c kit charger exploded on itself for no apparent reason? I was out in flat water cruising at 6.5 - 7k revs and bang, didn't sound good so I got a tow back to land and after taking the seat of I find bits of the supercharger wheel all over the engine bay! ive now taken the charger of and all that is left of the wheel is the very inner hub, the rest is collected in the intercooler!

anyone have any clue as to why this has happened? I have emailed seadoo centre who say I have ingested water but I know for a fact 100% this is not the case

It's possibly from the way the wheels are drilled from behind to reduce weight. I've seen other pictures but nothing first hand.

Wow.. I had a c kit that touched down. All i wanted was a new wheel. Good luck in getting any logical explanation from seadoo centre.
That was my last aftermarket charger i ever had.

    U in oz?

If you were cruising, how the hell did you suck something up? $1000 for a wheel?! Yea, you'll be happy with an ET next time. Sorry to hear about your issue, and I hope it didn't cause further damage.
    Good luck

Why would that have anything to do with it?
