    ODI grip install

so my yetis came in and i love the way they feel but i cant install them.

the bars on the GTR have a notch that the stock grips use but beyond that just doing a test fit these new grips are longer than the bars by maybe a half inch.
i know some of yall like troy are running them with no issue. how are yall installing them? did i get the wrong size?

they seem to be the same length as the stock ones. i know steach is working on an insert so thats cool. im not in any hurry on these just wondering what yall did.

i can get pics if yall want.

    pics...

with the grips side by side the OEM look bigger and in the 2nd pic you can see how much space is there. 3rd just shows there is some visible bar which is not an issue but dang they look good.

They will always hang over stock bars, but usually the inside clamp is strong enough to hold them on.

that just seems like something bad waiting to happen but i get what you are saying. what steach said he was working on sounds like it would remedy this so i will wait and see. i could easily see a plug for it that bolts right to the bar but have no way myself to do anything like that.

If you put a cover on the ski and trailer it at high speed like on the highway the cover may bend the ends of the grips along the ends of the bars and tear them up. It's happened to me with grips that extended beyond the bars. I'm not trying to piss on your daiseys. Just wanna give you a heads up.

No problem with mine, with a cover for almost 2 years.
