    2013 fzs hull damage!!

I have a baseball size hole right above the rub rail on the driver side rear. Took it to Taylor Boats in Houston, Texas and he quoted me $1800. Is that a fair price? Why is nanoxcel so expensive to repair?

That sounds ridiculously high. you just have to use an epoxy base resin when you repair. I had an 8" wide by 16" long hole in the bottom of one of my gpr hulls before that I fixed myself. Now I insure everything so it can sink if that ever happens again..

Tell that to the Kawi guy who has damage to his ultra's hull. It happens. There is a lot of stuff we don't see in the water. Thankfully, his carbon seals didn't go.

strip the material back beyond the hole about 6". Patch it from the inside then use shredded glass/epoxy to fill it in from the outside. Sand it smooth then repaint.

If you knew the guy at Taylor boats... He liked to give you the fuk u price. Not very customer friendly. Hopefully the op has a better experience than I did. He gave me a quote and I ran for the hills.
