Random bolt found in engine compartment

So I was jumping some pretty big waves and smashing down hard. The last jump after I landed I lost all acceleration and it sounded funny. I idled back to the docks and noticed smoke and smelled some gas. When I got home I took the seat off and found a bolt just laying in the back. I couldn't see anywhere it could have gone but I assume that's the cause. Any ideas are appreciated.

Post a pic of the bolt! Is it long, short, shiny, dull. A little more info would be nice!

Looks like an exhaust bolt. Could explain the smoke and fuel smell.
