    Power loss

    Hey guys,

Experiencing a weird issue with my PX. If you slowly speed up and get the RPMs up, I can hit about 6500, and then the power just disappears and it goes down to about 4500 rpm. If you try to nail the throttle from a stop you only get up to 4500 ish RPMs. It is not sputtering, just instant loss of power like clockwork. Checked air hoses for boost leaks.

It almost feels like riding with the learning key, except all 3 cylinders are firing.

    Anyone have any ideas?

agreed^^^. see if you can spin the charger wheel by hand. if so, pull it and see whats missing off the shaft.

While working to remove the SC, I took the PCV valve off the boat and found it was all grimed up with oily water. Cleaned it up and all is good now!

PCV valve?=TOPS valve. "?" Oily water? You still have a problem. There should never be "oily water" in the TOPS valve.

It's the vent valve that is above the supercharger. Connects from the valve to the air intake on a stock system. My intake isnt stock and I had a very bad leak in my hull a few weeks back. I think some water got into the pipe as it was hanging down in the bottom of the hull.

Going to get a filter put on the end of it.

You than have a bit of water in your engine. You sucked up more than a little water it looks like.

Whats the oil on the dip stick look like?

Oil on the dip stick looks fine, will do an oil change just to be sure though. It seems like just enough got into the vent valve to grime up the ball and pin in there, but doesn't appear that any got into the engine itself because it couldn't get past the large pin.

2011 p-x. No codes. It did feel like it was in limp mode, but is running fine after cleaning the vent valve out.
