    Newbie Help

I'm looking to buy my first ski for use at the local lake to pull kids around and also have a little fun. I have decided on a Yamaha VX Deluxe and have a question for you guys.

I have talked with two locations and have pricing on two:
    1. 2007 VX Deluxe with 76 hours and a Roadmaster trailer with a 2 year extended warranty, out-the-door price of $7500
    2. Brand new, 2014 VX Deluxe with a Roadmaster trailer, out-the door price of 11,400
*Ski is $7,990, Trailer $1450, fees and TTL

    Any help would be appreciated,

    WESTTU

Definately door #2 that's a no brainer, However with that being said....

man that math with fees ( like Chinese arithmetic's), shop around there better deals out there.

    Here is the breakdown
$7990 on ski...I looked at others yesterday and the ski price was $8900-$9200 at a few other places
    $1499 on trailer
    $1046 on fees
    Rest is Tax and Title

Fees are way to high " use Your power of purse". You should be out the door at nearly 1k less

What is your location? Those prices you have seem like "city" prices.

I agree with Shrabber, option #2 but definitely negotiate for a better price.

I was going to say that if you were in the Northeastern States, I would wait another month later into the season and perhaps the dealers would be a little more anxious to make a sale. You may be as happy with the used 2007 VX Deluxe as you would be with the 2014 as far as performance? I would consider buying a fresh water used boat with those hours in good condition and well maintained. I would go back to the dealership, offer maybe $6000, hold my tongue, walk out and wait for a return call back. You can always increase your price one or two hundred later if you get the call back?

Thanks for your help....the used is freshwater only and is at a dealership, it is a trade in ski.

Will work on price on both, thanks for your insight
