    1997 SLT 700, install a 2001 700 engine?

Want to throw a new motor in my 1997 SLT 700 as I warped the crank it ate the end of the connecting rod off and mangled my piston.

I've found a 700 twin out of a 2001 but I know that the model my jet ski is was only made from 95 to 2000.

Does anyone know if an 01 700 twin will bolt up to a 97 700 twin and if not what the differences are? thanks!

As far as I know the 2001 two cylinder 700 engine should drop right into your 1997 hull and bolt up. You may need to use your original engine bed plates.

Are you also getting the 2001 ignition system with the replacement motor?

    Carburetors, magneto stator?

As an added bonus, the 2001 motor is rated 95 HP as opposed to the 80 HP yours is rated at......
