    Bass fishing...

    Hey guys,

I live in the sugarland area and was wondering where I can go for some nice bass fishing that isn't too far... Please advise and please be specific with DIRECTIONS rather than just saying "lake conroe".

I haven't been out to any of the lakes, only saltwater fishing offshore and at the jetty's in Texas city and Freeport, but want to start trying out something different...

I was in Lake Sommerville a few weeks back and there a lot of people fishing (and catching). Also Lake Houston I saw a lot of bass getting pulled up. At Lake Houston we dropped in at Lake Houston Marina. They charge $10 for the ramp but is higher up in the lake where there are more tributaries to fish. I plan on doing some bass fishing soon. I just got a SVHO and have only been out 2 times. I am looking for good fishing spots as well.
