    Factory holes in 700 crankcase?

Can anyone tell me what the holes in the upper crankcase on the exhaust side of a domestic 700 are for and do they need to be closed off?
    Thanks
    Brad

If they are the ones I am thinking of, just leave them alone.

Are they about the size of a nickel maybe?
