    Fxho 160 cavitates

Just bought ski not to long ago . Fitted the riva bolt on bits also took prop and wear ring to shop and got the prop reconditioned and they informed me the wear ring was ok . Put everything on and back together but now it cavitates live mad on take off . I've been looking on here and been reading about felt packing on the back of the intake grate where it meets the ride plate . I can remember a strip been on mine but unsure if it was good condition as I don't know what it looks like new . But looking from the back of my ski towards the front I can see a gap between the rideplate and intake grate does that mean the packing felt stuff needs replacing ? If so will I be able to fill it with some 5200 ? Maybe put a plastic bag in the gap and then squeeze the silicon/5200 inside the bag so it forms a plug for the gap but the bag will stopping the 5200 from making contact to the ski ( if that makes any sense ) just don't fancy taking intake grate off as I snapped one when putting riva intake grate on 😡

Was the prop to wear ring clearance measured? Stock prop ( reconditioned) did it get damaged??

Stock prop it had damaged ends to all blades not much just little chips here and there . Prop to wear ring not sure if measured but took the full pump to shop so the could check the said it was ok . I was going to order new prop and wear ring today but then was reading about the felt packing

IMO I would definitely centralized your problem in the pump area (Prop wear ring)

So u think I should just fit the new solas prop and wear ring . The wear ring I was thinking of getting is the one with plastic liner in them with it been cheaper option

I would measure if you can, Like anything gauging is the best option, However a new prop and wear ring won't hurt If The prop was hurt and repaired and it Oem to begin with.
