Saltwater messed up sunglasses?
Has anyone had this happen to a pair of shades? It's like the top layer of the glasses is peeling after being out in the bay twice. They're not some rinky dink POS or anything, kinda pissed about this.

Never, in all my years of boating and jet ski-ing.

I have had that spidery cracky look in mine before but wasnt from salt water. It was not storing properly. Nut yes no cracks on glass its more like hairline spidercracks inside glass

I would say manufacturing defect. Contact the company.

What M447 said. Not saying you did but... Using any water repellant can damage polycarbonate material.

Hah, so... it must have been some weird reaction with the dish soap I used (and always have) to clean it and the saltwater residue still on it. I was able to scrape it off with my fingernail after soaking it in fresh water for a minute. It sure didn't look or feel like something on the surface.

I had a pair of Rollerblade skates I decided to clean one day. Sprayed cleaner on them and they crumbled. I was like WTF?!?! Turned around and bought K2s.
