i have a 2002 xlt 800 with 80hrs , runs good , once in a while will bogg on acceleration , but generally happy with the performance. bought it used at 50hrs 2 years ago , no history if carbs were rebuilt . concerned that a lean condition may ruin the ski if i do not rebuid the carbs . live in northeast and do not want to waste valuable ski time now to rebuid them , can i wait 2 months..? compression 110/115 , any advice .

its basicly a ticking time bomb if they were never done. Depends how luck you feel.
You need to do the following.
wave eater couplers and power valve clips.
Re do the oil lines with better clamps maybe new lines if they shrank.....They tend to pop off while riding and destroy your engine in minutes.
Use the search button form the above list plenty if how to's and info!
