Seadoo RXP 215 at 70.2 mph

    Hey guys,

I installed an R&D grate with 14/19 impeller. Everything on the ski runs great! Just wanted to get everyone's input. Only other mod that I have in a free flow exhaust. We took it out over the weekend and the highest i got on GPS is 70.2mph at 7600 - 7800 rpms. What's your opinion on it? Quite happy with how it's performed but didn't know if it was suppose to be any higher or lower?

    Let me know.

    Thanks!

Get the RPMs up to 8100 and you will gain a few MPH. That would be very impressive for only those 2 mods.

What ways can I get the rpms up to 8100? I know it did hit 8100 with the stock parts. But with the new parts, I could only get it to 7600 - 7800.

A 4" air intake would be a good start

I found that the 14/19 needed just little bit taken out of the trailing edge with those mods. If you now do nothing more than add a drop in "A" wheel and some 42# injectors and can pitch the prop to keeps revs under or at 8100rpm you should have a 74mph boat. I know I did.

I was pretty impressed with how it has performed also. Before the parts, the ski would hit about 8010ish rpm. But after the new parts it sits at 7600 - 7800. It will hit over 8000 at a WOT, but once it gets up, it doesn't get anywhere near that. So hopefully after finding ways to get it over 8000 rpm, I would be happy if it can do more than 70.

Alright, I have a new intake system in the ski and it's now hitting a consistent 7800-7854 rpms. What other ways can I get the ski up to the 8000+ RPM?

    Is that 14/19 a 3blade skat?
