    MSX 140 Rear Grab Handle

The rear grab handle on my msx is nearly cracked along all of the mounting bolts on one side. I found what looks to be a suitable used replacement on ebay but it is from an msx 150. It looks like they are the exact same part, but I wanted to check before I ordered it.

    Thanks!

Yup, any grab handle from an MSX will work. What color?

There is actually a 140 with silver grab handle for sale on here. Check out the Polaris for sale section. You might be able to get a good deal on it!

I think there may be a slight difference between the MSX 140 and MSX 150/110 rear seat grab handles in the area around the tow hook mounting and the seat latch post.

Looking at the official parts diagrams, it seems that the actual large plastic grab handle has the same part number but the MSX 140 has an adjustable seat post and separate tow hook while the MSX 150 and MSX 110 have a non-adjustable one piece post and tow hook.

    MSX 140 (2003 and 2004)
    2632856 Tow hook
    5134214 Plunger, Latch
    5435338-445 Silver MSX grab handle

    MSX 150
    2632897 Hook, Tow w/Non-Adjust Plunger
    5435338-445 Handle, Grab, Turbo Silver

SpannerSpencer documented a reinforcement for his MSX Matrix Replica tow hook mounting. I forget whether his project hull was originally an MSX 140

For reference, this is what my October 2003 built 2004 model year MSX 140 seat post looks like.

Looks to me like they are the same and just the hook is different no? I think he is just looking to replace the plastic.

I am pretty sure spencers was a yellow 110.

Yeah I just want to replace the whole plastic assembly that has the 4 or 6 bolts that go down into the fiberglass hull. Mine is cracked on one side, where the bolts are, so if you put too much weight/force on the cracked side it could break completely!

The new one will crack too. I think you would be better off trying to reinforce what you have.

I tired using a 2-part epoxy to hold the crack however that repair lasted maybe a month after the ski was launched for the season.

To be clear I am looking for a used one, because I am not spending like 300 bucks on a brand new one! lol

I thought only the Matrix conversions had the problems cracking the grab bars from the triple pipes hanging under them.
