    Piston wash after rebuild :( time to sell ???

    After two hours of running great after break in , I took heads off expecting greatness I see failure soon what do you all think

    Not enough piston wash.You need more fuel washing the pistons.Carbs need adjusted imo.

    That means taking off carbs drilling out screws and upping the fuel ?

    To answer your question about the carb adjustment though, yes that means removing them, drilling, and putting those t-handles on them.

    I see we have many different opinions on if it's good or bad , now the one cylinder I had honed has cross marks as in new the two I have had plated show piston over heating lines running inside cylinder which leads me to believe it's running lean, but maybe something I am missing ?? Because all three tops like the same why would middle and last cylinder show lines ?

    Are the lines in one localized spot in the cyls or all the way around the jugs? In that 2 hours of running were there high speed runs made or just part throttle break in stuff? Maybe pics of the lines would be good.
