    Riva Racing efi controller

Ok Im new to the jet ski world. Just purchased a 01 1200 that has been converted to all the 05 1300 set up. Has a riva efi controller in it.The guy i bought it from set it up and said the settings on controller are just set to what he thinks they should be at. The ski has prox pistons in it. Did a compression test and all 3 were 150+ psi so Im believing him there. Also has was looks like a aftermarket air filter and exhaust on it. He said it was a stage 2 kit for the ski. Im just curious on how to adjust this controller. He said he has it set rich. I went to riva site and they have recommended settings. Should I follow that?
