2014 FZR/FZS SVHO Driveshaft Different from 2009-2013???
So I just went to order some new seals and bearings for my 2014 pump and as I was looking the part numbers up I realized the 2014 FZR/FZS SVHO Driveshaft has a different part number from 2009-2013. Does anyone know if there is any differences in the actual part and will a 2009 shaft still work in the 2014 pump correctly?

There are three seals on 2014 set up, I believe that is why the shaft is different. Unfortunate...

brian ,i can't remember what i did , but i think i use the svho seals on the old driveshaft , only two seals. also the old shaft works just fine on the svho pump , remember the strainer is bigger on the svho.

Yes I've been using the new pump with the old driveshaft with the 3 seals, I chewed up the front seal with no one to blame but myself and that's when I noticed the different part numbers for the shafts. I also notice the front bearing has a different part number as well as the collar. The strainer im using lines up with just a little modification. I had a hell of a lot of cavitation and some speed loss because I was using a regular sho prop and not one machined for the new pump. Now I hope I fixed the problem with the new prop.
If anyone has a 2014 fzr/s driveshaft for sale I would like to buy it to compare the 2 side by side.

i'm using a regular skat on this svho pump with no modification to the prop, you can only use two seals with the old shaft.
why you want to change the shaft?

can't remember if the bearings were different or not.

I don't want to change the shaft I was just wondering what is different between the 2
when I get the new bearings and collar in, ill measure them up to see what is different

the SVHO shaft is made to use three seals, you can use the SHO shaft, but you only have to run two seals and then add a 5mm spacer to get the impeller set back correctly, i had to figure this out when i did my sho to svho pump conversion. feel free to pm me for my number if you need more info. skat make a impeller spacer kit that allows you to adjust impeller setback

the prop hub matches perfectly on the pump hub , if I have to guess its just few mm from the pump, very close but it doesn't touch. lol.

The regular skat will work fine but puts pressure on the front seal. The svho is set back much closer to the veins and then you have to use more 2014 parts
