    Frequency of Oil Changes?

    Just curious,
How often do you guys do an oil & filter change? Synthetic or Regular. Lub & Maintenance? Thanks

always synthetic for wet clutches (JASO) minimum once per season
IMO I would change the oil again before I got near 100hours in a season
not many extra parts to lube, the new throttle body's for sure

I change my 2014 RXPX oil, filter, and spark plugs every 25hrs. I use Seadoo brand Oil kit! I am at 89hrs so far with no problems at all!

I change the oil, filter, and plugs at the beginning of every season.

    Amsoil WCF 10w-40

I have about 125 hours on my 2010 T-X and almost 200 hours on the 2005 GTX, with great results.

At the start of each season - only genuine BRP & NGK's. (& filter of course).

I heard that it's best to change the oil BEFORE you winterise, as the build up of acids in the oil can eat away at the engine internals if left standing over winter?

    Anyone heard this?

Maybe it's a good idea to do after the last run of the season so you can change it when it's nice and warm and it hasn't become gunky and cold?? A little bit of fogging oil on the new plugs at start up will soon burn off.

I change my 2007 VX oil and filter at the end of the season just before storage time.
Castrol full synthetic and a Mobile 1 filter. Plugs only as needed ( 2yrs?)
    I get about 35 hrs a year on it. +/- 5 hrs

you really dont want to put NEW plugs at the end of the season..... trust me. they will go bad, I agree with leaving the old oil in there cant be good, but on the plugs, I normally wait until spring. I tell my customers replace the plugs every year right before the season starts, they always come over thinking they have a problem with their ski running like shit in the spring, and ignore the plugs because they were put new before the winter.

I explain to them that the water box brings condensation and other factors foul the new plugs during the winter.

I buy boxes of plugs at Oreilley they are like $2.19 each and just keep some on my truck and some at the house, I helped many ppl at the lake by just replacing their plugs.

    Sounds like a good plan.

I usually wait for the new season before doing the service, but this year I'll do only oil & filter and wait until the spring to do plugs.
