    2007 4tec timing chain tensioner

    Does the timing chain tensioner have a spring or controlled by oil

    Just got seadoo back from dealer, didnt put oil filter or cap back on. Started machine and all oil pumped into hull. Also found plug missing for timing chain tensioner. Dealer says plug must have loosened off on its own. Is this possible

    No its not normal

    It has a Built in check valve. You have to release the oil by pressing on the check ball in the center while depress the valve itself. This will allow you to bleed it down and get thye valve back into the engine & the cap back on..

    there is no way it would back off like that. they forgot to put it back in.
